Petry and surgeon Colonel (COL) James Ficke, MD, Chairman of the Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, TX. During the colloquium, "A Wounded Warrior's Experience and Physical Rehabilitation," SFC Petry spoke about his injury, recovery, and award of the Medal of Honor, which he received from President Obama in July 2011. COL Ficke spoke about the value he's found in treating wounded warriors, and the admiration he has for his patients, including SFC Petry. Following the colloquium, SFC Petry and COL Ficke answered questions from the audience.
